Don’t Hulk Out, But Hasbro’s New ‘Brand New Day’ Toy Line May Have Spoiled Spider-Man Movie

You haven’t seen a fight between a Hulked-out Bruce Banner and your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man in any trailer for Brand New Day yet, but Hasbro’s new toy line is a strong indication that we could see just that in the movie, due out this July.
Hasbro’s Marvel Legends line just added two new figures to its collection: 6-inch versions of both Spidey and the Hulk, both bearing the banner (pardon the pun) of Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

At $28, the Spider-Man figure, due to be released July 1st, shows off a new suit debuting in the movie. It is fully articulate, and comes with a poseable head and limbs, two web effects and four alternate hands. The Hulk figure runs $47 and is also fully articulated. Hulk is accessorized with two alternate hands, an alternate head, and a pair of web effects and will ship on August 1st, after the film’s release.
There are other figures available to buy now on the site, including a version of The Punisher, but it is not branded as part of Brand New Day, even though Jon Bernthal will in the film as Frank Castle, reprising his role from Marvel’s Daredevil series.
Obviously, the figures are “inspired by” the movie, so what’s depicted on the Hasbro site is not necessarily part of the story. But given how little we do know, we can’t say with confidence that it’s not going to happen.
Find out for yourself when Spider-Man: Brand New Day, starring Tom Holland, Mark Ruffalo, and many more, swings into theaters on July 31st.
