Jill wakes up with a stranger after a crazy drunken night on the town with her friend Lia not remembering what she did the night before. Its not that unusual…unless you wake up next to a dead man, that is.

In Dead Giveaway, a severely hungover Jill awakens after a bender and finds a dead man in her bedroom. Things get even worse when she finds another man, not dead, but tied up in the closet. Together, Jill (Ruby Modine, Happy Death Day) and her best friend Lia (Mikaela Hoover, Superman) must figure out what to do with the dead man, the prisoner and the killer, all before they miss their 3pm brunch date.

In the trailer, we see Jill and Lia debating whether to kill their unwanted hostage, followed by a montage of them bonking several different people on the head. The two get a lot of visitors, two of them rather handsome, and we also see them wheeling a man, still bound to a chair, down the street.

“If I find out that you killed a guy and I miss brunch because of it,” Lia warns Jill, “I will personally beat you with something heavy.”

Dead Giveaway comes from writer-director Ian Kimble, who makes his feature debut here. The film is based on his 2015 short film of the same name, which he co-wrote with Chris Spence.

Scout Taylor-Compton (Halloween) also stars in Dead Giveaway, alongside Suzann Toni Petrongolo, Buddy Caine, Jeremy Feight, Jessie Allen Hitner, and Andrew Vogel.

Although Dead Giveaway has a 2025 release date, it is only coming to home screens now via digital release beginning November 3rd.
