Christmas in October: Can It Be Too Early to Plan Your Holiday Movie Marathon?
You may have not even purchased your Halloween candy yet, but stations like the Hallmark Channel et al do not care. They are ready to bombard their audience with Christmas movies starting….yesterday.
There are already over 125 movies in the seasonal pipeline, including 41 from Lifetime, 35 from Hallmark and 12 from GAC Country. Streaming services like Netflix and Hulu are also delivering festive content, and as always there will be lots of original movies.
It all adds up to an overwhelming number of strong-minded big-city career women who will be learning the reason for the season from laid-back hometown beaus. Some of the featured players include Bruce Campbell, Kristen Wiig, Tia Mowry, Tamera Mowry-Housely, Vanessa Hudgens, Katee Sackhoff, and a reunion featuring Back to the Future co-stars Lea Thompson and Christopher Lloyd.
Here are a few of the highlights from the upcoming holiday movie extravaganza that will get you through Thanksgiving. (More to come!)
