Find What You Crave in The Last Record Store Day Drop of 2020
Record Store Day, usually a single day in April, was reimagined this year (you know why) to be three separate events, or “drops” meant to provide record stores with a big enough draw to spark up some revenue in a way that did not create an event so big a killer virus could love it.
October 24th is the last of the three scheduled drop days, and record stores everywhere are offering a limited number of very special releases. Here are some of our favorites, but you can find the complete list and other details here.
Marshall Mathers’ ode to one of his alter egos turns 20 this year, and is available on a seven-inch vinyl. Quantity limited to 2000.
The Who’s blistering set at the Monterey International Pop Festival is available for the very first time on red, white, and blue striped vinyl and features “A Quick One While He’s Away”, “Substitute”, “Happy Jack”, “Summertime Blues”, “My Generation” and “Pictures Of Lily”. Quantity of 6500.
Snoop’s latest double LP features guests like Wiz Khalifa, Russ, Slick Rick, YG, Mustard, Jermaine Dupri, Ozuna, Slim Jxmmi, Trey Songz, Nate Dogg, and more, and sports 22 songs, including “What U Talkin’ Bout” and “Let Bygones be Bygones.” Quantity of 2000.
This box set features 16 vinyl albums from metal icons Clutch, including picture disc pressings of Live at the Googleplex, Jam Room and Pitchfork and Lost Needles. Extremely limited quantity of 550.

This 7″ record has a never-before-released Khruangbin remix of “No Distraction” along with a previously released “Uneventful Days (St. Vincent remix)” and there’s only 4000 of them.
A Record Store Day exclusive, this collection of early mixes from the Hall of Fame series released in 1988 is on vinyl for the first time ever. This is mastered from newly discovered tapes in the Mercury vault and is a limited Edition Double LP, pressed on 180g vinyl. Features favorites such as “I Walk the Line” and “Five Feet and Rising.” Limited to 5000
It was released 50 years ago but continues to make its impact felt today. These early recordings that would go on to become Miles Davis’ legendary jazz fusion double LP Bitches Brew is issued for the first time as standalone release on opaque red vinyl. There are only 6000 available.
This is only the tip of the RSD iceberg; you can also find selections from Soul Asylum, Bob Mould, The Rolling Stones, Cheap Trick, Alice Cooper, Phillip Glass and many more on your record store adventure. And there will be a final Record Store Day on November 27th, aka Black Friday. Good luck finding your favorites!
