Steve never forgot you, and he never forgot Blue.

Steve Burns, the original human host of the Nickelodeon show Blue’s Clues, broke the internet about a year ago when he posted a video for the 25th anniversary of the show he hosted from 1996 to 2002. In the video, which brought Burns back into the public eye (and earned him a huge TikTok following), spoke to millennials who grew up with the show, telling them he never forgot them.

Now Burns, along with another former host Donovan Patton, known on the show as Joe, are joining the show’s current host Josh Dela Cruz for a Blue’s Clues feature film, called Blue’s Big City Adventure. The movie will stream exclusively on Paramount+ beginning November 18th.

The film follows Josh and Blue as they visit New York City so Josh can audition for a Broadway musical, and then, naturally, the two must team up with Steve and Joe. Having the movie set in the Big Apple is a dramatic change compared to the original series, where most episodes are set within the confines of Blue’s house.

The family-friendly adventure flick will feature original songs and choreography as well as appearances from favorite characters from the show, along with cameos from BD Wong, Ali Stroker, Taboo, Alex Winter, Phillipa Soo, and Steven Pasquale.

Patton hosted Blue’s Clues from 2002-2006, when the show went off the air. It was revived in 2019 as a new show dubbed Blue’s Clues & You! with Dela Cruz as host. It was not a reboot, but served as a continuation of the prior version of Blue’s Clues. Both Burns and Patton have even shown up on the show at various points to reprise their roles as Steve and Joe. The new series was given a renewal this year.
