Nicolas Cage will finally suit up as a superhero, though as a character from the Spider-Verse, not Superman.

MGM+ and Prime Video announced today at their upfront presentation that they’ve ordered the live-action show, which will be titled Noir, to series, starring Cage who voiced the character in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse starring.

Spider-Verse producers Phil Lord, Chris Miller, and Amy Pascal developed the series, the first two episodes of which will be directed and executive produced by Harry Bradbeer (Fleabag, Killing Eve), Oren Uziel (The Lost City, 22 Jump Street) and Steve Lightfoot (Marvel’s The Punisher).

According to the official description, “Noir tells the story of an aging and down on his luck private investigator (Cage) in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero.” No premiere date has been set yet, and episodes will air on MGM+ domestically and Prime Video globally.

Prime also announced the first spinoff of venerable quiz show Jeopardy created for a major streaming service. Pop Culture Jeopardy, which will ask questions about music, film, TV, stage, sports and more. The show will premiere on Prime Video across the globe.

Pop Culture Jeopardy is its own cultural moment, marking the first time the iconic franchise will premiere exclusively on a streaming service,” said Lauren Anderson, head of AVOD originals unscripted and targeted programming, Amazon MGM Studios in a statement.
