Netflix has enough Beef to serve everyone another helping.

In what appears to be an unconnected second season of the acclaimed series about road rage revenge gone wrong, Oscar Isaac (Dune), Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman), Charles Melton (May December) and Cailee Spaeny (Alien: Romulus) will play all new characters with all new beef(s).

This season’s inciting incident, according to Netflix, happens when “a young couple witnesses an alarming fight between their boss and his wife, triggering chess moves of favors and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner.”

Lee Sung Jin is returning as creator, showrunner and executive producer. Stephen Yeun and Ali Wong, who were the leads in season 1 also return to executive produce along with Jake Schreier for A24.

Season 2 will consist of eight half-hour episodes, and more details, including a release date, will be served up at another time.

Season 1 of Beef revolved around two strangers (Yeun and Wong) who turned one minor vehicular encounter into a baroque opera of revenge and cruelty, taking down numerous lives in its wake. Lee has said that a real-life road rage incident (which was hopefully not as destructive) inspired the show.

Beef won eight Emmy Awards in the Limited Series category, along with four Critics Choice Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, two Gotham Awards, two Film Independent Spirit Awards, two SAG Awards, and PGA, WGA and AFI honors.
