Clues’ Shoes: 30 Years After Its Release, Reebok Offers Sneakers Based on Cher’s Iconic Look in ‘Clueless’

As Cher Horowitz famously said in Clueless, “You see how picky I am about my shoes, and they only go on my feet.”
Now you too can be just as selective about your footwear, all while celebrating the 30th anniversary of that film, thanks to Reebok, who partnered with Paramount Consumer Products and is releasing two new designs that incorporate the style of Alicia Silverstone’s character, along with some extra flourishes.
The shoes became available on Friday, when Reebok made it possible to purchase the new designs of its Campio Extra and Club C 45 models on its website.
The Campio Extra model is styled after Cher’s yellow and black plaid suit, with pink accents, a leopard print sockliner and a memorable quote on the inside of the tongue. (“Ugh! As if!”) This model can be yours for a mere $90, not counting tax and shipping.

The Club C 85 design has a white upper, three different lace options, and accessories like a pearl lace lock, a pink pompom that’s a tribute to Cher’s pen with the fuzzy topper, and the Clueless film logo on the back. This model is slightly cheaper than the plaid Campio version – they are only $85.

Reebok issued a press statement from Carmen Hardaway, director of Reebok classics footwear, energy collaborations and social impact explaining the collaboration. “Clueless is as influential today as it was in 1995. We wanted to create a collection that honors the film’s lasting footprint on fashion and pop culture, while also giving fans something they can truly wear and love, featuring two of our most timeless silhouettes…these designs are all about confidence, fun and making a statement, just like Cher and her crew.”

Inspired by Jane Austen’s novel Emma, Clueless was written and directed by Amy Heckerling and earned $56.7 million worldwide after it was released in July 1995. In addition to Silverstone, the movie starred Paul Rudd, Stacey Dash, the late Brittany Murphy, Elise Donovan, Donald Faison, and Breckin Meyer. The film is considered iconic not only for its comedy but for the main characters’ stylish outfits.
Reebok’s new shoe designs are just one of many such collaborations; Mattel has Clueless fashion dolls available next month, Fisher Price issued a Little People collection modeled after the three main characters, and American Girl and Polly Pocket also incorporated the movie’s style into their products. There are even clueless sunglasses available from Diff Eyewear.
There will even be a sequel series starring Silverstone as the mother to a new Clueless generation streaming on Paramount+ soon.
This story may be coming too late as the shoes are already selling out and are only available for a limited time. Miss out and you may be totally buggin’.
