S.O.S – In ‘Send Help’ Warring Co-Workers Compete to Survive After Being Stranded on a Desert Island
A man and a woman stranded on a desert island may be some people’s idea of a romantic plot, but it turns positively chilling in Sam Raimi’s upcoming dark comedy Send Help.
Part Castaway and part Survivor, Send Help follows Linda Liddle (Rachel McAdams), an overworked and overlooked underling that boss Bradley Preston (Dylan O’Brien), routinely denigrates and disrespects. But when the two find themselves stranded on a uncharted isle after they are the only survivors of a plane crash, will they overcome past grievances and work together to survive, or will Linda assert desert island dominance over her former boss and make his life every bit as hellish as he made hers?

“As an executive, I see no value in you,” Bradley tells Linda in the trailer. “You know we have the Bangkok merger coming up. Prove me wrong.”
Bradley is injured in the plane crash and must rely on Linda to tend to his injuries and provide food and shelter, but can’t resist trying to pull rank on her. “Let’s not forget, I’m your boss. You work for me,” he says.
“We’re not in the office anymore, Bradley,” Linda replies menacingly, later telling him, “You are stuck with an asshole boss, just like I was. Although I’m betting I’m a much nicer boss than you would have ever been.”

Send Help is from 20th Century Studios and was directed by Sam Raimi and written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift.
“I’ve always loved stories where interesting, dynamic characters are pushed to extremes,” Raimi said in a press release. “In our story, the power shifts create an escalating situation that’s brimming with unexpected turns and suspense.”

Send Help washes up in theaters on January 30th, 2026.
