The ‘Devil’ You Know: Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway & Red Stilettos Are Back in Vogue for ‘Prada 2’
Those killer heels are back!
In a very brief teaser trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2, set to the tune of Madonna’s “Vogue”, Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly, editor-in-chief of Runway Magazine (and the boss from hell), struts through the office in crimson pumps, couture blouse and skirt, and sunglasses, boarding the elevator to her office high above the peons on the ground floor.
Just before the door closes, Anne Hathaway as Andy Sachs forces it back open and, sporting her own pair of shades, joins Priestly more as an equal than an underling now. “Took you long enough,” says Priestly.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 hits theaters twenty years after the original, and in addition to Streep and Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci return to the world of New York City high fashion and the offices of Runway Magazine for the sequel. Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman also reprise their roles as Lily and Irv in Prada 2.
20th Century Studios is releasing Prada 2 and hasn’t divulged any plot details as of this time.
Based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel of the same name, 2006’s Devil Wore Prada followed Hathaway’s Andy, a journalism graduate, after she moved to New York City and started her demanding job as Priestly’s junior assistant.
David Frankel returned to direct from a script by Aline Brosh McKenna, New to the scene are actors Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B.J. Novak and Conrad Ricamora. In addition, Lady Gaga was spotted filming a cameo for the film at a fashion show in Milan, Italy.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 will be a theatrical exclusive, not sold in any store, beginning May 1st, 2026.
