One thing so many of us Pop Culture Junkies love is Comic Con. Whether it’s the local version with a smattering of celebrities and artists or one of the HUGE ones (San Diego Comic Con, we will be with you one day!) in the big city near you, we love panels, photo ops, and autographs from our very favorite pop culture heroes.

Lockdowns and quarantines and just good old-fashioned common sense have put a stop to in person mingling temporarily (cross your fingers,) but convention-holders are creative enough to make a work-around that delivers everything, even a way to spend tons of cash,, right to your living room. Yay, safety!

The next big event is New York Comic Cons, kicking off on October 8th. Go to the NYCC website (newyorkcomiccon.com) for all the details and times and how-tos, but for now, here are the highlights

Wil Wheaton will be interviewing author Ernest Cline about ‘Ready Player Two’, the sequel to the book that inspired the Steven Spielberg directed “Ready Player One.

Amazon Prime will be hosting virtual panels for a ton of their shows, including “Truth Seekers”, “Utopia”, “Alex Rider”, “The Boys”, and “Invincible”.

Reunion panels for “Lost” and “Smallville” are planned, and “Sandman” author Neil Gaiman and writer Dirk Maggs will talk about the upcoming audio adaptation.

Multiple panels for “Doctor Who” and “The Walking Dead” are planned, and plenty of new shows will be introduced, including “The Watch” and “M.O.D.O.K.”
