That Old Magic: 3rd Film In the ‘Now You See Me” Franchise Drops Trailer, an (Obvious) Title, and Newbie Cast
The third entry in the Now You See Me franchise finally, finally added “Now You Don’t” to its title.
After dropping the ball and calling the second in the series Now You See Me 2“, Lionsgate rectifies that logical error by finishing the magical phrase in the title of the upcoming sequel.
Now You See Me, Now You Don’t will be released later this year and follows 2013’s Now You See Me and the 2016 title mentioned above.
Lionsgate ran a publicity stunt leading up to the revelation of the title and trailer. The company offered New York City denizens $250,000 in digital payments in a giveaway to fans of the movie franchise. In Times Square billboard flashed the words Now You See Me, and ran a countdown clock and phone number that invited locals and tourists to text or call in for a surprise.
When the countdown reached zero the words “Now You Don’t” appeared just as fans received a surprise text that included the official trailer and instant cash prizes, courtesy of The movie’s Four Horsemen, said Lionsgate.
As for the plot, J. Daniel Atlas (Jesse Eisenberg) and his band of illusionists/high class thieves, known as The Four Horsemen, return to their capering ways, but this time a new generation of magicians take part in the “twists, turns, surprises, and magic unlike anything ever captured on film.”
Returning to share the screen with Eisenberg are Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco and Morgan Freeman, and the new cast members include Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, Ariana Greenblatt, and Rosamund Pike as their adversary.

The first two Now You See Me films together grossed $687 million worldwide. The third in the series will start heisting your cash in theaters on November 14th.
