Eli Roth’s Thanksgiving dinner is going heavy on the giblets.

The film, which is based on a fake trailer that director Roth made for co-directors Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino’s 2007 film Grindhouse, will star Patrick Dempsey and Addison Rae an will carve its way into theaters on November 17th.

Per the official synopsis, the table is set, the festivities have begun, but an uninvited guest has arrived… and this year, there will be no leftovers.

Thanksgiving guests include Gina Gershon, Milo Manheim, Rick Hoffman, Tim Dillon, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Nell Verlaque, Gabriel Davenport, Tomaso Sanelli, Karen Cliche, and Jenna Warren.

The teaser is short, but heavy on murder and gore as an axe-wielding villain in a pilgrim hat tears through the cast. But Hoffman’s character says grace anyway. “Thanksgiving is a time for appreciation,” he says paternally. “It’s a time to remember our many blessings — to celebrate with the ones that we love the most — and a time for all families to be together.”

This film marks the second time a fake trailer from Grindhouse was turned into a feature-length movie. The first was from directors Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis, who made the 2010 film Machete that starred Danny Trejo and Michelle Rodriguez.

The film was written by Jeff Rendell, and produced by Spyglass for Sony Pictures, with Roth and Roger Birnbaum also producing.
