Happy Anniversary! Tina Fey And Amy Poehler Celebrate 30 Years Of Being Gal Pals With A Comedy Tour
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler just can’t get enough of each other.
After 30 years of friendship, much of it spent working on projects together, the two Saturday Night Live veterans will embark on a comedy tour.
The “Restless Leg” tour, as they are calling it, will take the pair on a limited run of East Coast shows where they will celebrate three decades of friendship through jokes and stories and “conversational entertainment.”
“If this tour goes right, we can finally end this friendship!” the two joked in a statement.
Produced by Live Nation, the four-city tour will begin at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C., on April 28th, before heading to the Chicago Theatre, the MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston, and Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena in Atlantic City.
If you want to see them, the presale begins February 15th at 10am local time on Ticketmaster with the code “restless,” while general sale begins February 17th at 10am local time. If you’re willing to spend top dollar, VIP packages are available.
The duo met when they were part of the Chicago improv scene during the early 1990s. They were hired by SNL, where they starred as the first female co-anchors of Weekend Update. After leaving that show, each went on to lead their own sitcoms (Poehler on Parks and Recreation and Fey on 30 Rock.) They worked together in the comedies Mean Girls, Baby Mama, Sisters, and Wine Country, and have cohosted the Golden Globes four times.
Both have worked behind the scenes, too, with Poehler recently directing the 2021 drama film Moxie and Fey served as Executive Producer on the shows Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Girls5Eva and Mr. Mayor. Poehler will soon be seen in Inside Out 2.
