Only two months after one of the fastest engagements of Bachelorette history aired on television, Dale and Clare have called it quits.

Things are not all that they seem though in this breakup.

Dale (@Dalemoss13) took to his Instagram with a statement that said he and Clare have decided to go their separate ways because that is what is best for them at the time.

Though the two have been spending some time apart, this came as a shock to Clare.

After taking a couple days to process what was all happening, Clare (@clarecrawley) finally released a statement on her Instagram.

“I was made aware of a ‘mutual’ statement at the same time you all were, so I’ve needed some time to really digest this.”

She goes on to state that her intentions and love for Dale were all real and that 2020 was a tough year for her due to COVID-19, her mother’s health, and dealing with anxiety after the show.

As mentioned, the two were spending time apart from one another because they were arguing a lot and disagreeing on lifestyle preferences, according to an insider who spoke to E! News. 

Clare was spending time with her mother, who is battling Alzheimer’s and dementia, in Sacramento. Dale was in New York City.

The two seemed happy in their relationship while they were living together after the show, always posting videos and pictures of one another on their social media. But nothing is always as it seems and no one ever portrays the negatives of their relationships on social media for the world to see. 

But that’s not all. There are now accusations swirling around that Dale not only broke up with Clare over Instagram, but that he was also cheating on her during the engagement.

The woman in question is Eleonora Srugo who is a real-estate agent in New York City, where Dale has been staying.

Dale claims that it is a business relationship the two share, but Clare never believed that and always thought there was something more going on, according to a source close to the couple.

A source that talked with E! News said that Eleonora would brag about sneaking around with Dale and that Clare has seen the proof that Dale does hang around with her when he is by himself in the Big Apple.

As one would, Clare would always confront him about it but he would always deny the situation and say there was nothing serious going on between them. 

Bachelor Nation guru @RealitySteve reached out to Eleonora about these accusations. Her response is as follows.

“Dale and I are, and have been platonic friends for a few years. We have never been romantically involved in any way. I was excited for his engagement and only wish him all the best. We have never been involved in dating, or romantically in any way whatsoever. Any claims we have dated or were romantically involved are blatant lies.”

Clare does have some of the former familiar faces of the franchise on her side. Ben Higgins, season 20 Bachelor, said that Clare finding out about the breakup the same time as everyone else was very inappropriate on Dale’s part and that it should have gone down a different way. 

Though I did not see this relationship lasting very long, I do hope that Clare is healing and that she will eventually find the person for her.
