Patrick, Squidward, Sandy and the SpongeBob SquarePants gang are celebrating their silver anniversary this year, and Wendy’s is celebrating the only way they know how: with ground beef.

The fast food chain has put together a menu featuring Bikini Bottom’s top-selling meal, the Krabby Patty. On the show, Spongebob works at the Krusty Krab as a fry cook for penny-pinching restaurant proprietor Mr. Krabs. Despite having to sling them all day, Spongebob, along with all the other undersea denizens, enjoy the iconic burger.

Up here on land, Wendy’s has teamed up with the long-lived Nickelodeon animated series about a sponge living inside a hollowed-out pineapple on the ocean floor. Starting October 8th, the restaurant chain will offer two new SpongeBob SquarePants-inspired treats, including the never-before-available Krabby Patty.

For the first two days of the promotion, customers in Los Angeles’ Panorama City neighborhood can also enjoy Wendy’s new menu items through an immersive Wendy’s drive-thru experience.

Wendy’s is serving Krabby Patty Kollab Burger, which is Wendy’s take on a Krabby Patty. It features a quarter pound of Wendy’s beef, two slices of melty American cheese, crisp lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, and a top-secret Krabby Kollab sauce on a toasted premium bun.

Don’t tell Mr. Krabs (or Plankton) that Wendy’s got their hands on his top-secret recipe!

New on the beverage menu is the Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty, which is the iconic Vanilla Frosty with a Pineapple Mango flavored puree swirl. Wendy’s calls it “a first-of-its-kind Frosty flavor innovation.”

“It makes sense that two of the most iconic squares in pop culture are teaming up to bring a taste of this unique, limited-time experience to life for fans of all ages!” said Lindsay Radkoski, U.S. Chief Marketing Officer for The Wendy’s Company, in a statement.

SpongeBob SquarePants debuted on Nickelodeon in 1999. Since then, there have been 303 episodes of the show, which also spawned three feature films.

“‘The Krabby Patty Kollab’ marks another innovative way to continue the landmark 25th anniversary celebration of SpongeBob SquarePants, bringing Bikini Bottom to the surface like never before,” said Dario Spina, CMO, Paramount Brand Studio, in the news release.

In the US, Canada and Guam, the “Kollab” will run through early November, and Nickelodeon and their parent company are unveiling a slate of new programs celebrating the show’s anniversary.

So, are you ready, kids?
