With the college football championship now over (way to go IU!), the nation’s focus is now on the “Big Game” (you know the one.) But the Pop Tarts brand just launched a campaign to make us Marvel at what’s coming at the end of next season.

This week, Pop Tarts released on their social media accounts four preview teasers, each a parody of one of Marvel’s brief teasers for their upcoming epic Avengers: Doomsday. Although they look very on–brand for Pop Tarts, the four teasers sound like the recently-released trailers featuring Captain America, Thor, the X-Men, and Black Panther.

The re-creation (see below) of the original Marvel teaser featuring Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America, shows a Pop-Tart mascot park a motorcycle and walk into a house, and ends with the mascot polishing a football-shaped toaster.

“The Pop-Tarts Bowl will return,” says text on a black screen to music reminiscent of the “Avengers” theme. The hashtag #PeoplesNationalChampionship appears in all of them.

The game was the network’s most-watched non-College Football Playoff bowl game this season, according to ESPN. The 2025 Pop-Tarts Bowl, which was played on December 27th, averaged 8.7 million viewers and featured the BYU Cougars winning against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in a nail-biter that came down to the final seconds. There was also a post-game event featuring a giant toaster and human-sized dancing Pop Tarts.

The release of Avengers: Doomsday and the Pop Tarts Bowl will take place in December of this year.
