Netflix’s Stranger Things is now a videogame, and you don’t need an Atari system to play it.

However, you do need an Android phone. And to live in Poland, at least for now.

Netflix recently announced plans to expand into the videogame realm, and that it will “publish” video games in the foreseeable future as downloadable smartphone apps, available exclusively for paying video-streaming subscribers.

The news coincided with the company’s public launch of Netflix Gaming on Thursday as part of the service’s smartphone app, but as mentioned earlier, this service has yet to be announced globally. The company’s American Twitter translated Thursday’s Polish announcement, which explains how the service works. (See below.) It also announced that the two games launching as part of the service today are Stranger Things 3, a 16-bit fighting game that was previously available as a standalone Google Play purchase (and is still live on PC and consoles); and Stranger Things: 1984.

Let’s talk about Netflix games. Starting today, users in Poland can try out two Android mobile games: Stranger Things 1984 and Stranger Things 3. We are at an early stage and we still have a lot of work to do in the coming months, but this is our first step.

To access this content from, well, elsewhere, you’ll need to log in to Netflix’s Android app while using a Polish IP address, then open the region’s new “N Gaming” row of icons. From there, pick either of the games, and the app will direct you to their Google Play download listings. Once downloaded, the apps in question will request your Netflix credentials (an active account is required) before loading.

Netflix also announced it is holding a con of sorts: the “TUDUM: A Netflix Global Fan Event,” will launch on Netflix September 25th, and will feature a behind the scenes look at its signature show. The three-hour event will be hosted by the production company’s hottest stars and creators “representing over 70 series, films and specials” on the virtual stage for an exciting experience “full of exclusives and first-looks,” the platform said in a statement.

TUDUM, of course, is the signature tone played as you launch the service. Participating programs will include BridgertonCobra Kai, The Crown, Ozark, Stranger Things (of course), and The Witcher, as well as hotly anticipated films Red Notice, Don’t Look Up, Extraction, The Harder They Fall, and The Old Guard.
