You can learn anything by watching YouTube videos…how to clear a clogged drain, how to change your taillight, and how to bust ghosts.

The first trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife, released Monday, has finally given fans a look at the movie’s plot and stars.

In the film, single mom Callie (Carrie Coon) and her children Phoebe (Mckenna Grace) and Trevor (Finn Wolfhard, Stranger Things) are forced to move to a decaying farmhouse in Summerville, Oklahoma. The home and land it sits on, left to them by the children’s late grandfather, starts to experience a series of unexplained earthquakes are occurring and despite not being on a fault line. Not only that, but stranger things (ha) start happening in an old mine which once belonged to the alleged occultist Ivo Shandor.

The children discover (thanks to YouTube!) their grandfather’s history with the original Ghostbusters, who have since been largely forgotten by the world beyond their fan base. When phenomenon like what happened in Manhattan in 1984 threatens the town, the kids, along with their family and friends, must use the Ghostbusters’ equipment to save it. They are helped by Mr. Grooberson (Paul Rudd, Ant-Man), the children’s new teacher who knows of the Ghostbusters’ legacy.

Unlike earlier teasers released by the studio, this trailer shows the Ecto-1 back in ghostbusting action, and features two of the original cast members who are returning for this iteration. Annie Potts makes her first appearance, and we hear the voice (and maybe see the hand) of Dan Aykroyd. Fans of the original movies can see there is continuity with this one, making it a true sequel rather than a kid-centered reboot.

Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver and Ernie Hudson are all scheduled to appear in Ghostbusters: Afterlife, though they are not featured in this trailer.

In addition to cameos from the original characters Janine Melnitz and Ray Stantz, we see a lot of ghosts in this trailer. There are ghosts getting coffee and ghosts fleeing from the Ectomobile and Stay-Puft marshmallow ghosts and the kids find a river of slime coursing under the Byzantine subterranean ruins, echoing the biggest set piece from the original film.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is scheduled for a Thanksgiving release. The film is directed by Jason Reitman (son of Ivan Reitman, who directed the Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II), who co-wrote the screenplay with Gil Kenan. It was executive produced by Akroyd, Michael Beugg, Jason Blumenfeld, Jason Cloth, Aaron L. Gilbert and Gil Kenan, along with Suraj Maraboyina and Adam Somer as co-executive producers.
