Set to premiere around the world on April 7th, The Portable Door is a new fantasy film being produced by the Jim Henson Company and Story Bridge Films.

Based on the book series by Tom Holt, The Portable Door is set in London, at a mysterious business that is not exactly what it seems to be. Patrick Gibson (The OA) plays Paul, and Sophie Wilde plays his co-worker Sophie, and the two must discover the secret behind the company that just gave them both an unusual assignment involving a door that is a portal to anywhere in time and space.

Starting a new job is always stressful (particularly when you don’t want one), but when Paul Carpenter arrives at the office of J.W. Wells he has no idea what trouble lies in store. He is about to discover that the apparently respectable establishment now paying his salary is in fact a front for a deeply sinister organisation that has a mighty peculiar agenda. Along with his new colleague Sophie, Paul embarks on an adventure with the help of an enchanted towel to uncover the secrets of this enterprise and reveal what happens at night in these dark forbidden corridors. Based on the bestselling book series by Tom Holt, this family comedy invites you into a world of fantasy and madness where all coincidences are orchestrated by a very strange company
