Meet the Witch: Ariana Grande Keeps It Universal; Joins Fourth Film in ‘Meet the Parents’ Franchise

Ariana is staying in the Universal family for her next picture.
The star of last year’s smash Wicked Part I (and the upcoming Wicked Part II) will join the cast of the next film in the Meet the Parents franchise.
Set to bow in November of 2026, the as-yet untitled movie is bringing back the principals from the first movie. John Hamburg is directing and is writing the script, his fourth in the series. The original cast including Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Teri Polo and Blythe Danner will star.
The original film, released in 2010 starred Stiller as a nurse going home to visit the parents (DeNiro, Danner) of his intended (Polo), and awkward hijinks ensued.

The first Meet the Parents grossed more than $330 million globally, becoming that year’s seventh highest-grossing film worldwide. Sequels Meet the Fockers (2004) and Little Fockers (2010) were also box office successes. In all, the franchise has grossed $1.13 billion worldwide.
Plot details, and who Grande will play, are being kept secret for now.
