Prepare for a Frenzy of Vertigo, Psycho, and The Birds beginning in June.

Netflix is devoting space on its platform and even on the big screen to the undisputed master of suspense, director Alfred Hitchcock. Beginning June 1st, you can stream some of Hitch’s most iconic works including Vertigo, Rear Window, Frenzy, The Man Who Knew Too Much, Family Plot, The Birds and more.

The collection will also include films inspired by Hitchcock, such as Jordan Peele’s Us and Zach Cregger’s Barbarian, and the platform will be offering a narrative feature about the master, Hitchcock, directed by Sacha Gervasi.

Psycho is already available to stream now. Netflix is now known for having a vast library of movies from 1960 or before in their catalog, so this will be an interesting experiment.

In addition to the films being offered for streaming, there will also be a special screening at the Paris Theater in New York City. Netflix and The New York Film Critics Circle have teamed up to present “HITCH! The Original Cinema Influencer,” from May 16th through June 29th. Fifty films – 36 directed by Hitchcock – will be available to stream that will showcase the auteur’s influence on the genre.

The films chosen will span Hitch’s career from its early years through his most successful blockbusters. According to a Netflix press release, they will show Blackmail, Psycho, The Birds, and others. 35 films will be shown in 35mm, including classics like Rear Window, Vertigo and North by Northwest as well as other examples of Hitchcock’s influence on the genre, like Francois Truffaut’s The Bride Wore Black and Henri-Georges Clouzot’s Diabolique.
