The tiniest Avengers celebrated Valentine’s Day amid the roses.

Peyton Reed, the director of Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania shared a photo on Twitter showing figurines of Ant-Man and The Wasp standing in the heart of a rose in a bouquet. Reed used the tweet to say “Happy Valentine’s Day” and included a Quantumania hashtag.

The photo appears to show the figurines are holding hands, possibly confirming that the duo’s romance will continue in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s third Ant-Man film. Reed directed both Ant-Man and its 2018 sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp.

The movie sees the return of Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly in their respective roles as Scott Lang (Ant-Man) and Hope van Dyne (The Wasp.) Also back are Michael Douglas as Hank Pym and Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne.

The third movie will star Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang. She takes over from from Abby Ryder Fortson, who played her in the first two Ant Man movies and Emma Fuhrmann, who played Scott Lang’s daughter in Avengers: Endgame. It will also feature the Marvel Cinematic Universe debut of Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror.

In interviews, Reed has teased that Quantumania would be even bigger than the previous installations in the series. “We are working away through the pandemic,” Reed said on The Jess Cagle Show.

“There’s some really really really exciting things in store, none of which of course I could speak to you about right now, as is the Marvel way… I think the third Ant-Man movie is going to be a much bigger, more sprawling movie than the first two. It’s going to have a very different visual template.”
