Ominous: Josh Hutcherson To Join ‘First Omen’ Director Arkasha Stevenson for New Shocker from A24

Josh Hutcherson has lived through at least 10 nights at Freddy’s, been a contestant on The Hunger Games, and jumped the Bridge to Terabithia, but now it looks like he’s going to headline an A24 horror pic about a bachelor party that turns into a night of terror.
First Omen director Arkasha Stevenson will direct an as-yet unnamed movie with her Omen collaborator Tim Smith co-writing the script. This new movie will be her second feature film as a director.
Hutcherson, along with Frank Dillane, Caleb Landry Jones and Whitmer Thomas are all in talks to star, with Lars Knudsen and Emily Hildner producing. Midsommar and Hereditary director Ari Aster will produce under his Square Peg banner.
The First Omen, released in 2024, was the latest film in The Omen franchise, which began back in 1976, to be followed by Damien – Omen II, The Final Conflict, and Omen IV: The Awakening. Stevenson has expressed a desire to return to that world for a sequel to her first film.
The casting is not official yet, and the movie’s official description has yet to be released, nor is a release date known.
