Daniel Craig will be looking through the Glass Onion on Netflix this December.

The title of the followup to 2019’s successful whodunnit Knives Out is an homage to the Beatles song, and the movie brings back Craig as detective Benoit Blanc. Netflix announced Monday that the movie will be available to stream on December 23rd, and will also be released in theaters on select dates so that its awards-eligible.

Glass Onion sees Blanc on the move as he travels to Greece “to peel back the layers of a mystery involving a new cast of colorful suspects,” according to the movie’s logline.

Like its predecessor Knives Out, the movie boasts a stellar cast of suspects. In addition to Craig, Onion stars Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick and Madelyn Cline, along with Ethan Hawke, Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista.

Rian Johnson returns as director and he also wrote the screenplay, telling Deadline that Blanc’s “penchant for bombast is partly to thank for the film’s title, which pays homage to the 1968 Beatles song of the same name.”

“I’m always fishing for something fun that Blanc can grab onto as an overwrought metaphor that he can beat to death,” Johnson said. “This is all in plain sight from the very start. So, the idea of glass came to me, something that’s clear. I’ll be very honest. I literally got out my iPhone and searched my music library with the word ‘glass.’ There’s got to be some good glass songs. I was like, ‘Oh, is it a glass fortress? Is it a glass castle? Is it a glass man?’ The first thing that came up, because I’m a huge Beatles fan, is ‘Glass Onion.’”

Knives Out was a surprise success when it was released theatrically, grossing over $100 million in the U.S. and $200 million worldwide.
