Sadie Sink is hitting the big screen.

The Stranger Things star is headlining Dear Zoe, a drama that got picked up by Byron Allen’s Freestyle Digital Media company, which will release the film in theaters and on demand on November 4th, 2022.

The movie is adapted from Philip Beard’s award-winning novel of the same name. The film is directed by Gren Wells, with Mark Lhormer screenwriting.

The movie stars Theo Rossi (Sons of Anarchy), and Jessica Capshaw (Grey’s Anatomy) as the parent’s of Sink’s character, Tess. Also starring are Justin Bartha (The Hangover), Vivien Lyra Blair (Obi-Wan Kenobi), and rapper, songwriter, and producer Kweku Collins will play Sink’s interesting but troubled neighbor Jimmy.

The movie follows Tess (Sink), her mother Elly (Capshaw), stepfather David (Bartha), and little sister Emily (Blair) in the aftermath of the unimaginable loss of Tess’s other little sister, Zoe (Mckenzie Noel Rusiewicz).

Struggling with unbearable emotions, Tess goes on a journey where she finds support from surprising sources: her biological father, Nick (Rossi) a lovable slacker from the wrong side of the tracks, and the charming juvenile delinquent next door, Jimmy (Collins). Nick and Jimmy provide Tess the time and space she needs to both find herself and be in a better place to deal with the loss of her sister.

Not to mention, Sadie’s performance is outstanding.”
