Who’s There? – Trailer For M. Night Shymalan’s Apocalyptic Thriller ‘Knock At the Cabin’ Drops
A vacation in a secluded cabin in the woods? What could go wrong?
Anyone who has seen a horror movie knows the answer to that question. But in the hands of M. Night Shyamalan, there’s bound to be a twist in whatever horror awaits the unlucky vacationers in his new movie Knock at the Cabin.
Based on Paul Tremblay’s bestselling novel, The Cabin at the End of the World, Shyamalan’s adaptation follows Andrew and Eric, played by Jonathan Groff (Mindhunter, Frozen) and Ben Aldridge (Fleabag), who go on a family trip to the woods with their daughter (Kristen Cui).
It doesn’t take long for things to get spooky, as soon after their arrival, a stranger called Leonard (Dave Bautista, Guardians of the Galaxy) knocks at the door – and he’s not alone. He and his gang, all armed, restrain the couple and tell them that they are trying to stop the end of the world. The fate of everyone rests upon the choice they make when Leonard says one family member must kill another. With no contact with the outside world, the family has to figure out what Leonard and his cult really want, and if there really is an apocalypse.
Knock at the Cabin is from Universal Pictures, and also stars BAFTA nominee Nikki Amuka-Bird (Persuasion, Old), Abby Quinn (Little Women) and Rupert Grint (Harry Potter franchise). The screenplay is by M. Night Shyamalan and Steve Desmond & Michael Sherman based on Tremblay’s book.
Knock at the Cabin arrives in theaters February 3rd, 2023.
That’s a terrible title. Why not keep the novel’s title, I wonder.
