The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame said “Hello, Dolly” on Wednesday.

Although she did her best to withdraw from consideration, Dolly Parton will join the 2022 inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She will join Eminem, Duran Duran, Eurythmics, Carly Simon, Lionel Richie, and Pat Benatar in accepting the honor during a ceremony set to take place in Los Angeles on November 5th.

Parton, Benatar and the rest beat out other artists up for the honor, including Rage Against the Machine, A Tribe Called Quest, Beck, DEVO, Kate Bush, Fela Kuti, MC5, New York Dolls, and Dionne Warwick.

The foundation’s nominating committee, made up of rock historians, selects nominees each year in the performer category, who are then voted upon by an international body of some 500 rock experts.

Eminem made it on his first try, eligible 25 years after the release of his debut album Infinite. The 49-year-old is this year’s only inductee to make the cut on his first year of eligibility.

In addition to the seven new inductees, other artists are receiving awards honoring lifetime achievments. Judas Priest and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis won the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s Musical Excellence Award. Harry Belafonte and Elizabeth Cotten were given the Early Influence Award. Also, Jimmy Iovine, Allen Grubman, and Sugarhill Records founder Sylvia Robinson will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award, which recognizes industry professionals.

“This diverse group of inductees each had a profound impact on the sound of youth culture and helped change the course of rock & roll,” John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, said in a statement. “Their music moved generations and influenced so many artists that followed.”
