Firefly Festival Announces Lineup as Summer Concert Scene Begins Steps to Return to Normal
Are you ready to get in the mosh pit with other festival goers? The promoters of Firefly Festival are hoping you’re ready to rock and roll.
Firefly Festival, taking place in September in Dover, Delaware, will feature Billie Eilish, The Killers, Tame Impala and Lizzo as headliners for the 2021 lineup.
This year’s festival, located in The Woodlands area of Dover, will be held in the fall instead of summer for the first time. The event will take place from September 23rd through the 26th.
If you are interested in the trek to the show, the ticket pre-sale begins Friday, May 14th, with a general on-sale following on Monday, May 17th via the festival’s website. Tickets include access to the festival’s camp grounds as well as amenities like daily yoga, a beach club, silent discos, intramural sports, and permanent showers, not to mention a farmers’ market and general store
The festival offers three types of passes: General admission $299, VIP $699 and Super VIP $2,499. For camping, prices starts at $209 per campsite.
The various packages include Meadows Tent Camping starting at $499, Meadows Glamping ($1,499), Infield Glamping ($1,199), Infield RV Camping ($1,099), Front Row Chill Camping ($249), Front Row RV Camping ($499), Group Camping ($1,099) and Front Row Carefree Camping Souvenir Tents ($599).
Firefly is one of several major festivals returning after the 2020 pandemic caused the cancellation of virtually all in person events. Bonnaroo 2021, which features some of the same headliners as Firefly, sold out within three weeks after the lineup was announced. featured acts include many of the artists originally booked in 2020 (Lizzo, Tame Impala, Lana Del Rey and Megan Thee Stallion) along with new additions like Foo Fighters and Tyler The Creator.
