Star Wars: Visions is a brand new animated series in Disney+, an anthological series of nine episodes, each about thirteen to twenty minutes long. Seven different animation studios were a part of making the series, with each episode having a different animation director.

The series features talent from animation studios such as Studio Trigger, Production IG, Kinema Citrus, Studio Colorido, Kamikaze Douga, GENO Studio and Science SARU, with Trigger and Science SARU handling two episodes each. These studios and their talent have led to the creation of anime such as Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, Devilman: Crybaby, Golden Kamuy, NGE: End of Evangelion, Ghost in the Shell, Made in Abyss, Burn the Witch, Pokemon: Twilight Wings and Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure.

The series has number of prominent actors and voice actors appearing throughout it. Alison Brie, Greg Chun, Neil Patrick Harris, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jamie Chung, David Harbour, Lucy Liu, Simu Liu and many more take on roles on this new Star Wars series.

The episodes range in genre from dramatic to more upbeat, from specific genres like a samurai movie but with a Star Wars twist, to more traditional Star Wars stories. The stories take place in different eras and locations all throughout the Star Wars universe and across the timeline, showing off a vast array of planets, people and technology. One tale involves a wanderer who must defend a town against a stormtrooper invasion led by a Sith warrior. Another involves a pair of twins created by the Sith to rule the galaxy, who end up fighting each other after one has a change of heart.

Some of the concepts displayed are pretty over the top or out there, but they all still hold true to the core mythology and charm of Star Wars.

The episodes contain fantastic animation, choreography and character design, accompanied by a soundtrack with the classic Star Wars feel. All nine episodes are available to watch on Disney+ right now.
