The Daily Show producers are taking a page out of the Jeopardy playbook.

Just as the producers of the popular game show did after the death of long-running host Alex Trebec, The Daily Show will replace departing host Trevor Noah with a series of guest hosts, including former correspondent Hasan Minhaj.

The official replacement for Noah, who departs at the end of this week after seven years behind the anchor desk, reportedly won’t take the job until fall of 2023. The temporary hosts will most likely have the gig for about a week apiece.

In addition to Minhaj, Al Franken, Chelsea Handler, Sarah Silverman, Kal Penn, and Leslie Jones will each anchor The Daily Show when new episodes air starting on January 17th.

The lineup of guest hosts are not without experience in political commentary and/or late-night chat show gigs: Minhaj won a Peabody award for his Netflix series Patriot Act, Handler presided over E!’s Chelsea Lately for seven years and her eponymous Netflix show for two, Penn previously hosted Kal Penn Approves This Message on Freeform, Silverman hosted I Love You, America with Sarah Silverman on Hulu, and Franken and Leslie Jones are both Saturday Night Live alums.

Other guest hosts on the roster include John Leguizamo, Wanda Sykes, Marlon Wayans, and D.L. Hughley, with several more hosts still to be announced in the weeks ahead. Current Daily Show correspondents like Jordan Klepper, Roy Wood Jr., and Ronny Chieng are also expected to get an opportunity to host the show-slash-audition for the chance to replace Noah. The network is reportedly still deciding who will take the reins permanently.

“As we enter Trevor’s final week, we want to thank him for his many contributions,“ Paramount Media Networks CEO Chris McCarthy said in a statement, adding: “Trevor redefined the show, as did Jon Stewart before him, and as we look to the future, we are excited to reimagine it yet again with the help of this incredible list of talent and correspondents along with the immensely talented Daily Show team.”
