Hold onto your biscuits, folks! In a move that’s sure to make fans do the “Lasso Dance,” Apple TV+ has officially renewed the beloved comedy series Ted Lasso for a fourth season. Yes, you read that right—a fourth season! And leading the charge once again is none other than Jason Sudeikis reprising his role as the ever-optimistic coach, Ted Lasso.

This renewal comes as a delightful surprise, especially since many believed the third season marked the end of Ted’s journey across the pond. Sudeikis himself had hinted that the series was structured as a trilogy, making this announcement all the more unexpected.

While the press release confirms Sudeikis’ return, details about other cast members are still under wraps. However, it’s expected that fan favorites like Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca Welton), Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent), and Jeremy Swift (Leslie Higgins) will be back to grace our screens. Goldstein, who also serves as a writer and executive producer, is anticipated to continue wearing multiple hats in the upcoming season.

As for what’s in store for the Greyhounds, Sudeikis has teased that Season 4 will embrace the mantra “leap before you look,” suggesting that our beloved characters will be taking bold risks and diving headfirst into new challenges.

Production is set to kick off in London this summer, with filming slated to begin in May or June. While an official premiere date hasn’t been announced, it won’t be long before we see Ted and the gang back on the pitch, spreading positivity and biscuits in equal measure.

In the meantime, Seasons 1 through 3 are available for streaming on Apple TV+.
