If you don’t know what an “FBoy” is, congratulations for not spending a lot of time dating online.

For those not up with today’s dating lingo, an “FBoy”, or “F***boy” (it’s usually used in a gender-specific way) is a potential date that is looking for a good time, not a long time relationship. And now HBO Max has imported a few to an island for their new show.

Fans of comedian Nikki Glaser’s hit podcast know she spent a lot of time in the Cayman Islands earlier this year taping a project she couldn’t reveal, but that changed on Friday. Glaser is hosting a reality dating series for HBO Max called FBoy Island, coming this summer to the streamer.

According to HBO Max, the show cast three women to move to a tropical island where they’re joined by 24 men. 12 men are self-proclaimed “Nice Guys” looking for love, and 12 are self-proclaimed “FBoys,” there to compete for cold, hard cash (and presumably, an “F” or two). The women will navigate the dating pool together with the hope of finding a lasting love connection.

By the finale, the show will reveal who is a Nice Guy, who is an FBoy, and who the women ultimately choose. FBoy Island is a social experiment that intends to see if the “FBoys” can be redeemed, if the “Nice Guys” finish last, and if reality dating shows where one finds true love, or just casual “Fs”.

The series concept was created by Elan Gale of The Bachelor franchise with Sam Dean (HBO Max’s 12 Dates of Christmas, Love is Blind) serving as showrunner.

“This is an incredibly entertaining dating show full of twists and turns that will leave the audience constantly guessing,” said Jennifer O’Connell, Executive Vice President, Non-Fiction and Live-Action Family, said in a statement. “We are especially excited for viewers to watch these strong women, guided by the hilarious Nikki Glaser, team together and empower each other to say ‘F-Boy, F-Bye,’” added Sarah Aubrey, Head of Original Content.

Glaser, considered one of the funniest and boldest voices in comedy today, hosts The Nikki Glaser Podcast via iHeartMedia’s Big Money Players Network and in July will return to her nationwide comedy tour “One Night with Nikki Glaser”. Glaser hosted, co-created and executive produced Not Safe with Nikki Glaser and Nikki & Sara Live. Film and television roles include Judd Apatow’s Trainwreck, A.P. Bio and Inside Amy Schumer.

“When I first got the call to be a part of a reality dating show called FBoy Island, I said yes immediately. Then I realized they weren’t asking me to be one of the girls looking for love. That is not a joke; it was embarrassing,” said Glaser in a statement.

She continued, “but as a massive fan of this genre, hosting this show was a true dream. I look forward to hosting for the next 43 seasons. I knew going into it that a show created and produced by the people behind my two favorite shows (The Bachelor and Love Is Blind) was going to be insanely good, but this one exceeded my expectations. I already know what happens and I can’t wait to watch it every week.”
