Excellent!

Their ages (in the real world) may be hovering around 60, but the iconic Saturday Night Live characters played by Mike Myers and Dana Carvey are reuniting for that most special of reasons: cash.

Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar, still broadcasting 32 years from their debut, are still in the basement in Wayne’s mom’s house, presumably available on the public access channel in Aurora, Illinois. The pair are back this time to promote Uber Eats, though not blatantly so.

“And we’re back,” Wayne says to open the spot, reminding viewers that “2020 was a great year…NOT!” (with Garth chiming in.)

From there, the two dance around the fact that they are in a commercial for “the big game” referencing the fact that the term “Super Bowl” is copyrighted and can only be used with permission, which they obviously don’t have.

“We just wanted to say that we’ll see you soon for the game, which for legal reasons cannot be named,” Myers says, in the promo for the commercial.

Uber Eats is not mentioned at all by the duo, but the spot is tagged with an image of a food delivery bag with the company’s logo.

Wayne’s World with Myers and Carvey began as a sketch on SNL and later became a feature film in 1992, and followed the rock-loving slacker duo Wayne and Garth. The film was popular enough that a sequel was released a year later.

Over the last handful of years the two have revived their characters for brief appearances, such as SNL’s 40th anniversary special and, out of costume, at the Oscars, among others.

Super Bowl LV features the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Kansas City Chiefs, and airs February 7th starting at 6:30pm ET on CBS.
