Pete Davidson’s new series is about Bupkis.

Like Jerry Seinfeld’s popular “show about nothing”, a new show inspired by Davidson’s life, called Bupkis, will be a fictionalized version of the comedian’s life.

Davidson is co-writing with friend and collaborator Dave Sirus, along with Judah Miller (Crashing). The deal is still being inked for the series, which is coming from Saturday Night Live head Lorne Michaels’s Broadway Video and Universal Television.

The show is being described as a raw, unflinching, fictionalized version of Pete Davidson’s real life. It will include a mixture of grounded storytelling with absurd elements depicting an unfiltered view through Pete’s eyes. Pete’s character is being compared to Larry David’s cranky, cursing Curb Your Enthusiasm character, but with more tattoos.

The show is expected to reflect Davidson’s real-life persona with an unapologetically unfiltered,  R-rated storytelling, but no plot details are available yet, so there’s no telling if any Kim Kardashian/Kanye drama will be featured.

Bupkis is being pitched to streamers, with Prime Video and Peacock believed to be among those interested. Talks are currently underway with A-list talent for the ensemble cast around Davidson.

Michaels has produced a number of projects for his SNL cast at various networks and streaming services, including Shrill with Aidy Bryant, Schmigadoon! with Cecily Strong, Kenan with Kenan Thompson, Bust Down with Chris Redd, and That Damn Michael Che with Michael Che.

Davidson, currently in his eighth season on Saturday Night Live, hasn’t said whether he will be on the show beyond this year. His past projects include The King of Staten Island, Big Time Adolescence and The Suicide Squad. He’s currently on hiatus to film the horror project The Home, about a spooky assisted living facility and is scheduled to appear in the Kaley Cuoco comedy Meet Cute and the animated movie Marmaduke.
