Matt and Bri head into the woods for some hot tub fun on The Bachelor (ABC/Craig Sjodin)

As the episode begins, Matt and Heather continue their conversation from last week.

Heather tells Matt that her friend, former Bachelorette Hannah Brown, suggested that Matt would be a great person for her. So Heather, listening to her best friend, took a leap of faith and showed up to meet Matt six weeks into the process.

Once Matt and Heather are done with their conversation, Heather comes out and introduces herself to the rest of the women. None of them are happy that she is there and they start to grill her, eventually making her cry and feel bad for making the gang feel uncomfortable or upset.

As Heather walks away, the girls are saying that if Matt keeps Heather, they can’t trust him and his feelings because he has built up these relationships with them, while he is just meeting her for the first time tonight.

Matt is standing outside contemplating on what to do and Chris walks out and talks with him. Matt tells Chris he trusts Hannah and her opinion about Heather but can’t let go of the relationships he already has now.

He comes to a decision and sends Heather home after telling her how thankful he was for her to show up and introduce herself because he likes someone who is bold and willing to take a leap of faith for love. This obviously makes the rest of the women happy to see him walking her out.

After all of this, the rose ceremony starts. Going into it, Pieper and Michelle already have roses. There are only six roses to hand out and eight women who are wanting it, meaning two will go home.

Matt hands out his roses and the six lucky women are Bri, Rachael, Serena P, Kit, Jessenia, and Abigail meaning Chelsea and Serena C have to pack their bags and go home.

The first date card of the week is delivered to the house and two women, Abigail and Jessenia, still have not had an individual date with Matt yet. The card is opened and Serena P is given the one-on-one date.

The date consists of tantric yoga. As the yoga portion of the date comes to an end, Matt and Serena sit down and talk about it. Serena tells Matt that she was uncomfortable during the date because she is not one to show affection in public and felt that this type of yoga was a big step in the relationship based on the poses they were doing. This makes Matt question their relationship because he does not know if they are on different wavelengths.

As the night continues, Serena eventually gets the one-on-one date rose and is going into hometowns.

The next one-on-one date announced goes to Jessenia, leaving Abigail the only one with no one-on-one date this far into the journey.

Before Jessenia’s one-on-one date, the group date commences. The group date is more of an after-party setting, as the girls are in nice dresses and get to spend individual time with Matt to talk about their relationship and other things.

Bri is the first girl to talk to Matt and she opens up to him and tells him that she had to resign from her job in order to continue on this journey with Matt. He was obviously grateful that she would do that to find love.

Next, Abigail talks to Matt and tells him that she wants to know right then and there if he sees himself ending up with her or a future with her. He tells her that after she got the first impression rose, he wanted to explore his relationship with the other girls and somewhat put her on the back burner which stalled their relationship. Abigail ends up leaving and going home that night.

Kit then talks to Matt and lays out her five year plan stating she wants to finish school, travel, figure out her career, and then by the time she is 25 or 26 she wants to start having kids. She is 21 right now.

Matt comes back to join the group and picks up the group date rose. Kit is certain she is going to receive it but it ends up going to Rachael. Matt then tells the group he has something planned for the remainder of the evening with Rachael.

Matt and Rachael have a private performance from Aloe Blacc and they dance the night away.

Later that night, Kit shows up at Matt’s place and sits down with him to talk about their relationship. She said after tonight she realizes that she is not ready for an engagement at the end of this and tells Matt she wants to go home because he deserves someone who is ready.

The women are dropping like flies, but I guess that just makes it easier for Matt.

It is now time for Jessenia’s one-on-one date. They get a souped-up car for drifting and things get crazy. Jessenia is careful with how she drifts but then when Matt gets behind the wheel, he starts crashing in the boxes and ruins the side-view mirror on the car.

Later that night at dinner, Matt and Jessenia talk. Matt picks up the rose but does not give it to Jessenia, sending her home.

Going into the rose ceremony, Rachael and Serena have roses leaving Michelle, Pieper, and Bri empty handed. Matt hands out the last two roses to Michelle and Bri sending Pieper home.

Pieper is obviously upset and angry and walks out with Matt but does not say anything. She just hops into the car and leaves.

Four women are left, Rachael, Serena, Michelle, and Bri and they are going to hometowns for Matt to potentially meet his future in-laws. Things are getting serious.
