Official Star Wars: Visions trailer from Disney.

Disney’s next Star Wars television project will show familiar worlds in unfamiliar ways.

Disney released a stylish trailer for Star Wars: Visions, premiering September 22nd, that showcases several different types of Japanese anime. The series looks to tell some thrilling new stories set in the Star Wars universe.

Visions‘ nine stories will be told by seven Japanese anime studios, according to Disney, and will feature both an English dub cast and the original Japanese voice cast.

The English dub voice cast will feature some some serious talent: Neil Patrick Harris, Alison Brie, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bobby Moynihan, Shelby Young, Karen Fukuhara, Simu Liu, Masi Oka, David Harbour, Henry Golding, Jamie Chung and George Takei, and Temuera Morrison, reprising his role as Boba Fett, are all involved.

Visions has brought together artists from studios all over Japan, like Kamikaze Douga, Geno Studio (Twin Engine), Studio Colorido (Twin Engine), Trigger, Kinema Citrus, Science Saru, and Production I.G. Each of the nine shorts has a distinctive visual style.

“Their stories showcase the full spectrum of bold storytelling found across Japanese animation; each told with a freshness and voice that expands our understanding of what a Star Wars story can be, and celebrates a galaxy that has been such an inspiration to so many visionary storytellers,” James Waugh, executive producer said in a statement.
