The CW’s newest entry into its DC Comics Arrowverse is debuting with an impressive partner.

The CW released its mid-season slate of shows, with return dates for favorites like Superman & Lois and The Flash, as well as premiere dates for new shows like Naomi and All-American: Homecoming.

Naomi is the network’s latest show in the DC Comics superhero universe, which began in 2012 with Arrow and continued on with shows like The Flash, Supergirl and Black Lightning. Naomi stars Kaci Walfall as a “cool, confident, comic book–loving” teenager Naomi McDuffie as she unravels the origins of a supernatural event in her hometown of Port Oswego, Oregon.

DC’s FanDome event featured a first look at the show, Naomi running out of class in an attempt to capture Superman on film. The show is written and produced by Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning director Ava DuVernay and Arrow‘s Jill Blankenship.

Created by Brian Michael Bendis, David F. Walker and Jamal Campbell, Naomi first appeared in the DC Comics series of the same name in 2019 under the Wonder Comics imprint. Naomi is a teenage superhero born on an alternate version of Earth, with powers including flight, super-strength and energy manipulation. Believing she is a normal girl for most of her life, Naomi inevitably encounters Superman and discovers her parents are from another world. She goes on to join the Young Justice team.

Naomi will be premiere on Tuesday, January 11th, with Superman & Lois as its lead-in. Previous Tuesday night occupants Riverdale and The Flash will go on hiatus for a few weeks, returning in March on a new night, Wednesdays.

Mid-season will actually kick off in December, when Dynasty returns on Monday, December 20th. And another new show debuting at mid-season is All-American: Homecoming, a spinoff of the high-school sports drama All-American. Both shows can be seen beginning Monday, February 21st.

Friday, January 7th Penn & Teller: Fool Us returns at 8pm, followed by Nancy Drew‘s midseason return at 9p. That will be followed on Saturday, January 8 with a double broadcast of Whose Line is it Anyway? followed by two episodes of World’s Funniest Animals. And on Sunday, January 9, the network will air The 27th Annual Critics Choice Awards.

Other returning shows include Charmed, Walker and Legacies.
