It’s not exactly ‘Jim Henson’s Serial Killer Babies’, but Dexter: Original Sin does recount the life of everyone’s favorite killer with a conscience, Dexter Morgan.

Set 15 years before the events that transpired in Showtime’s hit drama Dexter, the Original Sin prequel tells the story of the younger murderer-in-training. Showtime/Paramount released photos on Friday that showed the younger versions of the original show’s core characters: Patrick Gibson as Dexter Morgan, Christian Slater as Harry Morgan and Molly Brown as Debra Morgan.

In Dexter, Jennifer Carpenter played Debra and James Remar played Dexter’s father, Harry.

Michael C. Hall, who played Dexter in the original series, which ran from 2006-2013 and who returned for companion series Dexter: New Blood in 2021, will executive produce Original Sin. Original showrunner Clyde Phillips returns in the same capacity for the prequel.

Showtime on Paramount+ will stream Dexter: Original Sin but no premiere date has been announced.
