TV Legend Carol Burnett Joins ‘Better Call Saul’ In Mystery Role Created Just For Her
How awesome would it be to guest star on your favorite show?
When you’re a a TV legend, you can do that sort of thing. Six-time Emmy Award winner Carol Burnett will appear as a guest star on the drama in Season 6. Burnett will appear as a character named Marion, the show announced Monday.
She joins a guest star lineup that features Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, who will appear as guests to reprise their Breaking Bad roles of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman on the spin-off.
“I’m thrilled to be a part of my favorite show,” Burnett said in a statement. Burnett told late night host Jimmy Kimmel “I’m crazy about anything (show creator) Vince Gilligan writes” when she appeared on his show back in 2018.
Burnett is known for her iconic and eponymous variety show, along with roles on shows like Mad About You, Desperate Housewives, Hawaii Five-O, and Law & Order: SVU. She also finagled a guest role on her favorite soap opera, All My Children, when creator Agnes Nixon wrote the role of Verla Grubbs just for her.
Burnett will also be seen in the upcoming Apple TV+ show Mrs American Pie opposite Kristen Wiig; her first regular TV series role since The Carol Burnett Show.
The series is set to begin airing the second half of their sixth and final season on AMC and AMC+ beginning July 11th, with the series finale airing August 15th.
