It’s a mini Arrested Development reunion on the Murderville holiday special.

Jason Bateman joins his former TV brother Will Arnett, who stars in the improvised detective series Murderville, which premiered its six-episode season last February on the streamer.

The holiday special, called Who Killed Santa? A Murderville Murder Mystery, will debut on December 15th. Along with Bateman, the special stars Maya Rudolph, who co-starred with Arnett in the NBC series Up All Night. back in 2011. Bateman and Arnett currently share podcasting duties with Sean Hayes on the SmartLess.

The show’s official description reads “Senior Detective Terry Seattle is back and this time, the case is critical. Along with his two celebrity guest stars, Jason Bateman and Maya Rudolph, he is on a mission to figure out…who killed Santa? But here’s the catch: Jason Bateman and Maya Rudolph aren’t being given the script. They have no idea what’s about to happen to them. Together, with Terry Seattle (and many surprises), they will have to improvise their way through the case… but it will be up to both of them to name the killer.”

The show’s other cast members include Eliza Coupe, Kurt Braunohler, Haneefah Wood, Lilan Bowden, Dennice Cisneros, Tawny Newsome, and Courtney Parchman. Krister Johnson serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer, with Owen Burke, Marina Cockenberg, and Kerry O’Neill rounding out the writing team. Laura Murphy directs and Arnett executive produces along with Marc Forman, Jonathan Stern, Peter Principato, and Brian Steinberg.

The show’s status remains a mystery: Netflix has yet to cancel the show, but neither has it announced a second season. But this Christmas special is definitely a good sign that the platform will continue the program.

Murderville is based on the BBC3 show Murder in Successville from Tiger Aspect Productions and Shiny Button Productions.
