Marvel (this time through Sony) kept the superhero vibe going by releasing another trailer for an anticipated comic book movie the day after their last big reveal.

The Avengers: Doomsday trailer came out Monday, and Tuesday, the final trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day dropped. The trailer starts with a quick rehash of Peter Parker’s (Tom Holland) history, starting with the first time he shared his secret identity with his best friend Ned, through the end of the last adventure where Dr. Strange was forced to erase Spider-Man’s existence from living memory, to now, when Peter mopes about the edges of his former friends’ lives, wishing he could convince Ned (Jacob Batalon) and MJ (Zendaya) that they share a past. All stuff we’ve seen before…until the big green surprise towards the end of the trailer.

No, it’s not Scorpion (note: the guy in the metallic-insect-with-a-large-stinger suit played by Michael Mando denies the label), and it’s definitely not Dr. Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo). It’s the alternate form of a guy Peter Parker went to see: Dr. Bruce Banner.

“NO BANNER…ONLY HULK,” the big green guy growls, just before deciding it’s clobbering time, and Spidey is the unlucky victim.

Later we see Spider-Man pop into MJ’s window, after which he is able to convince her to let him sling her across the city via his rooftop web transport system. So there’s hope!

We also see Spidey battle ninjas, receive a grave warning about a new threat that only he can stop…the usual stuff. No sign of Punisher (Jon Bernthal) in this one, or whoever Sadie Sink is playing. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is opening at the end of this month, though, so we will know soon enough.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, and produced by Kevin Feige. Tramell Tillman, Liza Colon-Zayas, Zabryna Guevara, Eman Esfandi, Marvin Jones II and Keith David also star. Florence Pugh is expected to play Yelena Belova, and Tony Revolori as Flash Thompson, Martin Starr as Roger Harrington, and the characters of Boomerang, Tarantula, and Ramrod are rumored to appear.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will smash into theaters beginning July 31st.
