As if a ‘catastrophic military disaster’ wasn’t bad enough, now the world has to deal with zombies who loudly grind their teeth.

That’s the disturbing sound that tells you the dead have risen, are on the hunt and you’re the prey in We Bury the Dead, starring Daisy Ridley (Star Wars franchise).

Set in Tasmania, after the disaster “the dead don’t just rise–they hunt. But when Ava [Ridley] enters a quarantine zone searching for her missing husband, she uncovers the horrifying truth: the undead are growing more violent, more relentless, and more dangerous with every passing hour,” according to the movie’s synopsis.

In the trailer, we see Ava, as she tries to cope with the staggering number of dead people who become undead after a while, teeth gnashing furiously. Despite assurances by the military that the roaming undead are “docile” and that the living have nothing to fear, that proves to be a lie, or at least wishful thinking.

Yet Ava continues to search for her spouse. “If you find your husband,” says a character in voiceover, “I hope you understand what that could mean.”
