Till Death: Divorce Isn’t the Answer for Jason Segal and Samara Weaving in ‘Over Your Dead Body’
It’s unhappily ever after (or is it?) for Samara Weaving and Jason Segal in Over Your Dead Body.
Weaving, who starred in Ready or Not, another dysfunctional marriage story, and Jason Segal play a long-time married couple who want to end their union in a way far more permanent than a mere divorce can provide.

In the trailer, Weaving’s character drugs and duct tapes Segal’s character to a chair, confronting him with the drugs, duct tape, rope, and bag of rocks she found at their lakeside home.
“I think you just tried to kill me!” she snaps.
“Because all you do is criticize me!” Segal retorts.
When Weaving pulls a shotgun on Segal, telling him his plan sucks, Segal says, “your plan is to just shoot me? I was being nice about it. You would have been unconscious!”
The trailer then shows the two going after each other War of the Roses-style, enlisting help from friends (or maybe hitpersons.) Timothy Olyphant, Juliette Lewis, Paul Guilfoyle, and Keith Jardine also star.
Saturday Night Live alumnus and Lonely Island member Jorma Taccone (Pop Star: Never Stop Stopping, MacGruber) directed Over Your Dead Body. The film is a remake of Tommy Wirkola’s Norwegian cult thriller The Trip, which starred Noomi Rapace and Askel Hennie. Nick Kocher and Brian McElhaney adapted the script for English-speaking audiences.
87 North, the company behind Bullet Train, Nobody and Atomic Blonde is producing for IFC. Over Your Dead Body will make its world premiere at SXSW festival on March 14th before hitting theaters on April 24th.
